Bread rolls etc condensation in packet

I'm noticing packets of bread, rolls, muffins etc have condensation in them. I don't have a bread bin, just keep on side. Is this the purpose of a bread bin, perhaps it's time for one?

Sounds as though the bread is 'sweating' in the packaging - it doesn't sound too appealing and probably means it's more likely to go off more quickly as warm, damp conditions are perfect for mould to grow.

You might find that just putting the stuff in a cupboard stops the condensation.

I noticed this was happening to our bread as I used to leave it on the worktop next to the toaster - convenient.
However, this was right next to the hob and the steam from the pans would be affecting the loaf. Even with the extractor fan on.
I started keeping the bread in the cupboard and problem solved - not so convenient but better than mouldy bread Grin
