Cleaning sick off sofa

So my DD was sick on the sofa yuk! Lol

So I have tried all the usual cleaning to get rid of the smell like soap and water, carbonate of soda ect and there is still a slight smell! Anyone have any tips! It's faux leather (suede type)

Also with all this cleaning I've done, could it have ruined the cushion/ sponge underneath the upholstery? Or is it resistant to spills/ cleaning ect

Only just got this sofa and can't afford professional cleaning
Thanks

HOw did you use the bicarb? Whenever I have to get rid of anything like that (like sick off the bed the other night) I get rid of the mess first with a damp cloth, then wipe it down again with a clean damp cloth, then tip bicarb powder over the damp patch, rub it in and leave it to dry. Next day, I sweep up the excess, hoover off the rest and it usually works fine - mattress was completely smell-free.
