Mine is shoved down the side of a cupboard and keeps unrolling / ds pulls it out etc.

I've looked at wrapping paper holders but don't really want to pay a tenner greedy

Any cheapish solutions?

I went into a card shop and asked for some of their long thin bags [brazen] I did offer to pay for them but she said no! They are hooked on a door handle

under the bed in a 'really useful box'

You need string, I saw this (fab) idea on Pinterest and I've done it in my cupboard.

It takes up no more room than the width of the roll (obviously)

Same as MrsMillions - under the bed.

I have a (Lakeland??) canvas bag specially designed for the job which I keep in a chest of drawers. It has lots of pockets for gift tags, ribbons etc

I bought it unused, very cheaply from a charity shop - something like 50p because presumably nobody knew what it was for?

In a giant Christmas gift bag partly hidden in the gap between a chest of drawers and the wall on our top landing.
