Sons friend has brought fleas into my house :(

So my son had spots on upper back and fe more dotted around, doc has confirmed flea bites.
He hasn't been anywhere and he has had his friend over twice, I can only assume he has brought them in as it's just my sin that's affected.
What do I do now.
His bedding is in the washer on a 90, I have sprayed some indirect on his bedroom carpet, do I need to wash all his coats hat were hanging up? Curtains? Floor has been hooch reed thoroughly this morning .
Also I had some clean washing in a basket on the landing next to his bedroom door , will I need to re wash ?
Ado I treat all carpets in whole house?
Please help, I'm so upset and feel dirty

You imply that you have no pets, right?

Fleas usually jump off after feeding and wait in the carpet until the next meal walks past, so ankle bites are common.

You can put clothes through the tumble drier if they are otherwise clean, the heat will kill any eggs or insects (this also works with moths)

Doesn't sound like flea bites to me - it would be VERY unusual for a human child to bring actual fleas into a house, because fleas live on animals and cannot infest humans.

Unless it's the special human fleas I've heard of once before but then I think they are extremely rare...if they are even a thing.

I've always had cats and we have only very rarely had any flea bites ourselves, so I'm mystified. Also fleas CANNOT survive on human blood, so please don't freak out. They might try in the absence of a pet but they will die off very soon if there isn't anything like a cat around to feed on.

It can happen. My DS went to a childminder that had cats. We had no pets. I saw something on my leg & felt a bite. I managed to get hold of it & killed it. There was one more jumped on me & I got it. After that there was no more. I hoovered thoroughly. I had a huge row with the childminder & DS never went back. I'd go to a pet shop & see what sprays there are.
