How many times do you change your bedsheets?

Another thread alerted me to the fact that a few of you out there change your sheets every week. We are once a month, and thats being good. So own up, how long does it take for you to change the bedding, and am I really a dirty madam? I wonder how often Queen Anthea changes hers?

nice name!
I change once a week, that's us and the dds beds as well

takes I don't know - bout 20 min for the 3 of them? love the feeling of clean sheets

magnolia1 · 18/09/2006 13:33

Not often enough but not admitting how long

Apart from dd4's coz she has accidents sometimes so bed gets changed staright away.

PinkTulips · 18/09/2006 13:33

ewwwww! between dp with exzema bleeding on sheets, my bm leaking on sheet and ds's nappies leaking an himspitting up i'd throw up if i din't change tham at least once a week!

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2006 13:33

Once a week in theory but I think in times of crisis / laziness it has got to 3 weeks. Ds's can go quite a while too but he does sleep in a gro bag

erm which also could do with a wash, probably

Once a month as a rule does seem quite minging if you don't mind me saying so

cupcakes · 18/09/2006 13:34

probably every 3 weeks. rarely more frequently than fortnightly.

southeastastra · 18/09/2006 13:34

every week especially in summer! anthea probably does hers every two hours.

cupcakes · 18/09/2006 13:35

I would do it more if they were actually stained in any way!

cremolafoam · 18/09/2006 13:36

Clean sheets , lovely warm lavender bath and clean jammies are my favorite thing in the whole world.
Dd every week
Us: every 10 days or so as bed is kingsize and changing the duvet cover is like doing a 15 minute work out.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 18/09/2006 13:36

every few weeks and thats just our bed.

girls gets done once or twice a week

MadAnth · 18/09/2006 13:36

Franny- ohmygod I really am a dirty cow. But this was the way I was brought up, so I guess I am not completely to blame, am I????
crosses fingers and thinks to herself will try in future to remember to change once a week

Have just added a rather icky theory on this subject to the other thread (the weekly routine one)

danceswithmonkeys · 18/09/2006 13:41

Not as often as I should....

FrannyandZooey · 18/09/2006 13:42

MadAnth I would not necessarily go so far as dirty. Mucky, perhaps

hulababy · 18/09/2006 13:42

I change our bottom sheet weekly, and the duvet/pillows every two weeks.

DD's bedding gets changed weekly usually, sometimes a little less often.

iota · 18/09/2006 13:43

every week for all of us

MadAnth · 18/09/2006 13:43

Franny - Mucky is fine with me

I remember reading about Jackie Kennedy Onassis that she always slept in clean linen sheets, which were changed every time they were slept in, even if she'd just had a nap. But I bet she wouldn't have done that if she'd had to do it herself, not to mention the washing etc. Ours are a bit hit and miss, sometimes every couple of weeks, often longer.
