Burned my shirt ironing :( Is there any hope??

My favourite shirt... darn it. I've never done it before and now there's a brown patch on my lovely white shirt (one that makes me look really skinny too!) - give it to me straight - is it all over...??

Seriously - lots of sympathy. I burned my favourite black top last year, and as it was synthetic, there was a huge hole! However, I managed to sew up the hole, then put a matching seam on the other side, and you'd almost never know (well I do, but anyone else probably wouldn't).

I second the dyeing. Last time I tried ironing I burnt my tummy My DH won't let me near his shirts.

Where is the brown patch? Is it in a position on the shirt where you can cut it out and insert a new peice of white cotton material?
