Do you have to seal/feed floorboards?

We've moved into a new house which was renovated about 3 years ago. The floorboards are lovely, and I have cleaned the floor on a regular basis. Do I need to reapply any sort of oil or wax, and what happens if I don't?

Are they original or newer solid wood type boards?

They are new floorboards. Solid, not engineered.

We has ours resanded when we bought our house and used Osmo oil but purely because there were worn patches that didn't look great. We will need to do this again in 3-5 years I think depending on wear. Hope that helps.

They are often varnished but might be oiled. The previous occupiers should know if you ask them.

If they are bare timber they are probably dirty and will need sanding first.

I can't see yours from here.
