My drains smell like death, please help!

Just recently I've noticed a disgusting smell coming from my kitchen sink plug hole (both the 'full' sink and the 'half' sink bits). I have scrubbed with a toothbrush, poured boiling water, left bleach overnight and just tried Zoflora overnight. Now it's clean and sparkling to look down, and just smells like death on a bed of roses! What else can I try??

I think that the loopy bit under the sink is full of gunk. It could be drains if you live in an old house, but more likely you need to get under the sink, unscrew the U shaped bit (over a bucket) and clean it all out. Or GALMI to do the same.

you can try bicard of soda and vinegar together if you have them in the cupboard.

but i found little packets of drain cleaner in tesco near the oven cleaner for £1 and they are easy to use - just leave 30mins and wash with hot water. simples!

dont forget to check your outside drain if its an open one, jeyes fluid could do the trick out there.

Thanks everyone, spent this afternoon taking the pipes apart and giving them a good scrub! Not a nice job I can tell you, but seems to have done the trick!
