Talk to me about wood/ bristle household brushes please.

I have seen various types of household brushes made from natural materials, scrubbing brushes, vegetable brushes etc. I like how they look but how on earth do you keep them clean? Being wood/ bristle they cannot go in the dishwasher or be bleached or even soaked on hot soapy water.

Sadly finding myself strangely drawn to these brushes but need to know more about them.

With the natural brushes they don't perish as quickly like the plastic ones do.

I find you can give the natural ones a bit more welly in the scrubing stakes.

As for keeping them clean, I just rinse it hot water, but im a slattern with no dishwasher!

Thanks for replying biscuit, I like the idea of rinsing out under hot water. That will suit my slatternous minimum faff cleaning style.
