I know this is a bit of a zombie thread but in case anyone is reading, I got a new Next sofa in 2014. A modular corner sofa and it has been the biggest let down ever.

Completely disfigured now, hasn’t held its shape at all. Stains constantly, the scotch guard does nothing and Next claimed they would send someone out to clean any issues but the actual rigmarole of applying is ridiculous. Plus they’ll only clean one stain at a time rather than giving the whole thing a clean. Or better yet just give us the magical stuff so I can do it myself.

The main issue is how badly it’s held it’s shape. The quality is appalling and I’d never order one from there again. We got oak furniture around the same time which has been brilliant, but I’ve had friends experience the same thing with sofas purchased in this timeframe so suspect they’ve started cutting corners.

We bought a Garda chaise longe and armchair last summer. List of faults as follows;
Squeaking within 2 weeks, fraying fabric, 1 inch gap between 2 parts of chaise longue, ill fitting cushions. This was all within 5 weeks. Complained and they sent out a repairman who pulled it apart and was horrified at how poorly it was made. He said itsb cause it was a 4 day delivery sofa so they are mass produced very quickly.
Eventually refunded in full as deemed a right off. So upset as our previous next sofa lasted 12 years. Thought it might b a one off so ordered an armchair 6m ago and it is worn looking already.

My dm has a 2 seater and 2 different chairs from next and they are awful, the material on both chairs has bobbled really badly and next are not interested. She's waiting on new sofas to arrive from sterling and the next ones are going she's only had then 2 years.
