Fixing cat scratched sofa ?!

Stuffing has started to appear on the sides of the sofas.. Has anyone here fixed this issue? I'm thinking of somehow. patching the area with fabric ...glueing it on with fabric glue!

Could look ghastly, couldn't it..

I can't find clear patches on amazon... What to put in 'search'?

Following the trail, I've found upholstery repair kit which seems to involve glue and ironing...so that's one possibility.

The area is quite shredded, rather than just one rip, though..maybe I can stick all the shreds back together.

I don't particularly want to cut a bit off the back of the sofa..which is something I read about online.

This must be such a common problem, you'd think there'd be 'cat scratch solution' sofa kits sold..
