Washing Machine help...

Ok, so please forgive me as I'll probably win MN award for most boring thread of the year (!) but I'm going out of my mind here!

My washing is coming out of my machine smelling really musty Sad It will do this for a while, then I might get a wash which is just lucky, and doesn't smell Sad

Pump cleaned, tried hot wash, tried boiling wash without any laundry in, hubby not long ago had machine out and pipes looked at etc, and machine is only 3 years old Sad

I use Daz Citrus Blast, but started to think it may be this, but surely not?

Reading all kinds online (other forums) about putting bleach, or vinegar, or soda crystals etc. in drum, but I don't want to make things worse, or break my machine Sad

Any advice??

Are you certain that the water is actually getting hot? When we had this problem, I thought I was doing a hot wash but wasn't because the heating element in the machine had died. Had to have a new element put in. Realized the element was bad by touching the glass in front midway through the cycle and it was cold.

BTW, I put white vinegar in my machine every cycle. A small amount in the fabric softener spot. Been doing this for years with no issue.

have you cleaned the dispenser drawer and the bit the dispenser fits into? Clean the filter, clean the rubber seal and then run a hot wash with soda crystals. You can then follow that wash with a hot wash with vinegar.

Leave the door open slightly between washes
