Making the switch from cotton to jersey bedding

I want to try jersey bedding, but I know nothing about it. I'm looking for a softer bed sheet - am I going in the right direction with jersey?

Are there any brands that are recommended or washing tips I need to know about?

Also - any places do printed or colourful sheets? Everything seems quite neutral.

I bought a jersey fitted sheet from amazon. It was cheap as anything and I didn't expect too much. However it's really easy to put on ( I have carpel tunnel syndrome) and the bed is butted up to the wall.
It has washed really well and is comfy and cool. This is the link:

I have a jersey sheet from John Lewis. It is lovely and soft but I find it much warmer than a normal sheet so only use it in the autumn/winter.

Yeah, since posting i've read a few sites that say jersey is warmer than cotton. Not sure if thats a good thing, but I am buying for a new house which is noticeably colder than the one I'm living in at the minute.
