Furniture indentations

How do I get rid of those indentations that furniture leaves in the carpet? I have moved one of the bookcases in the dining room and have a really deep mark where it was.

rub it with an ice cube, then leave to dry and you should be able to fluff the flat bits up!

Ice cube????

Damp towel over and then iron to creat stem to fluff up. Careful that you don't melt the carpet!!! Mum had a dictionery placed on the floor next to the fireplace for years to cover a lovely iron burn .

Put an ice cube in the dent, let it melt, then fluff up with kitchen roll, tea towel etc.
