Cleaning wood table and flooring?

How the frig do people keep their wood tables clean and unsticky? It doesn't help that I have a toddler and a weaning baby eating at it! What do you clean your table with?

Also the kitchen floors are stripped back to the floorboards and I have no idea how to keep them clean and scratch free. I could mop it in the morning and by afternoon it's horrible again. Admittedly it's probably not mopped as often as it should be.

Any ideas wise mnetters?

I like the method wood cleaner and wood floor cleaner, (you just squirt it on and use dry mop so easy.) They are ££ though. I usually wait for Ocado offers.
