Focus on the rooms they will see. So downstairs and bathroom

Kitchen, toliet and living room. Then shut all the other doors!

The downstairs loo or bathroom is a good place to start - a nice self contained job and an easy way to get you warmed up for the less straightforward bits.

Bathroom, living room and then do the surfaces in the kitchen.

Somewhere to wee, somewhere to sit and a hygienic looking kitchen.

Don't do one room first. Spend half an hour in each - then you'll lift the whole house, and if you run out of time to do everything at least everywhere will be better.

Thanks i have taken your advice just need to do half hour in kitchen now. Think next week i will be chucking out anything not been moved or used for six months think thats why i feel overwhelmed didn't realise how much 'stuff" is lying around to make it more untidy.
