Oooooh I've always wanted one wicker in the shape of a hen

But tiny kitchen and no room on work surface. On next house maybe

(Happy sigh)

LadySybilLikesCake · 20/07/2014 16:08

Mine are in the fridge, but I forget they are there and I now have three boxes Blush I was hoping I'd remember not to buy any more if I could see them.

chicken basket! Grin

this one is ok, do you think?

Bifauxnen · 20/07/2014 16:17

I like the chicken one. I keep mine in the fridge, along with squash. dp tells me both are wrong.

LadySybilLikesCake · 20/07/2014 16:18

Why shouldn't you put eggs in the fridge? Confused

Most of the year I keep mine in a bowl on the worksurface next to the hob. However at the moment, as it's been so hot, they're in the fridge but I usually prefer to cook with them from room temperature.

misty1901 · 20/07/2014 20:06

oops meant to add no I don't think getting an egg basket is sad at all! :)

LadySybilLikesCake · 20/07/2014 20:07

Smile I may improvise (p&P was just as much as the basket and I'm penny pinching Blush)

Heathcliff27 · 20/07/2014 20:09

^^ GrinGrin i'm afraid those kind of eggs are well and truly past their best here

LadySybilLikesCake · 20/07/2014 20:17

Grin Lol!

OP posts:
Sandthorn · 21/07/2014 08:50

Surely you wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket? [shocked]

LadySybilLikesCake · 21/07/2014 10:36

Grin True. Looks a little better than an egg box though.

as i have chickens mine trickle in daily, and i can't find a pretty solution that allows you to add new eggs to the bottom, so using egg boxes on the surface.
so anyone found any that are tierd?

LadySybilLikesCake · 24/07/2014 12:34

www.amazon.co.uk/Egg-Skelter-Cream-Medium-Large/dp/B006MWYKDI/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1406201603&sr=8-16&keywords=egg+basket How about this? You can add the new ones at the top, and take the ones you need from the bottom.

Thank you, that egg thingy is perfect.

LadySybilLikesCake · 24/07/2014 22:22

I'd get one for my kitchen but I know ds will play with it and I'll end up cleaning eggs off the floor (he's 15)

catwithflowers · 25/07/2014 07:27

On a shelf in a little basket. I use lots of eggs and prefer to use them from room temperature. Better for baking.

WanderingTrolley1 · 25/07/2014 07:36

In the fridge (if it's not too cluttered with other crap).

TodaysAGoodDay · 25/07/2014 07:41

In a bowl usually on top of the toaster. Obvs not when the toaster is in use...
