Cleaning vela nylon bags?

I have a much loved Prada dark green vela nylon bag which could really do with a clean. Do any of you know how to clean these bags at home, or indeed where to get them cleaned professionally?

Bit scared to do that, couldn't afford a new one!

Good point. some leather fobs on zips and straps with buckles are leather.

Good idea. May try a small area first in case it all goes pear shaped! Thanks for your ideas.
