Musty washing machine

My washing machine has started to smell a bit musty, I've just done a service wash and given it a good clean but it hasn't made any difference. I always leave the door open when not in use and remove washing almost straight away.
Any tips or ideas to get rid of the smell?

Have you cleaned out the filter?

No that didn't even cross my mind. Thank-you I will try that Smile

Oh, and if you use washing liquid, since I've changed to powder its been loads better. But at first it took a good 3 95' washes with dishwasher tablets in the drum to dissolve all the built up gunk

Do you also leave the washing powder drawer open to dry out? Mine gets a bit whiffy if I forget to do that.

I bought something from the supermarket that you use to clean the washing machine with. It was a one use sort of thing. It worked quiet well and my machine smelt nice afterwards.
