and do you care? dds very rarely put toys to the purpose they are intended for. They are very imaginative - and use everything for all manner of other things. but the end result is chaos. We're half way through the biggest tidy-up I've ever done in my life (ie all their toys are in our bedroom, on their way to being put in the right boxes. why oh why did I start this) and I really don;t want to have to repeat this. They kind of tidy up at the end of the day but there just seems to be this cummulative process of throwing the odd tiddly-wink in the wrong place and before you know it they're taking over.

I just throw small out of place toys in the binin the hope that maybe they will be put back next time. We have far too many toys as it is.

lol, most of our dominoes, jigsaw bits etc are in the i-just-found-this-piece-of-some-game-ill-put-it-in-here-for-now box. I sort it out once in a while, but in the meantime, its the 1st place we look when we realise theres a bit missing!

my marathon session is nearly done. dd1 was an angel - really helpful and let me throw away loads of stuff. dd2 prefered sitting in the thick of it, playing and protesting loudly whenever I suggested throwing anything. I even tried buying stuff off them. I said I'd give them 50p per toy. But dd2 said she'd rather have the toys. When they disagreed over whether to sell I thought about suggesting that dd2 had to buy out dd1's 25p share. But decided that might be a bit much! Their bedroom looks lovely again and under their beds (which is the main storage space) is CLEAN. And all the tiddlywinks are in the tiddlywink box.
