Orange children's paint on white t-shirt

I thought this stuff was supposed to be washable? The first time I've ever sent dd to preschool not in her regulation preschool t-shirt (due to a laundry error) and she came home covered in orange paint. It won't come out. I've tried Vanish Stain Stick, soaking in Vanish crystals, and repeated washing. It hasn't even faded. Any ideas?

As it will not shift, or even fade, I wonder if there is chance (odd though it seems) that they might have been using emulsion paint.

Soak a patch in meths, if you have it, mixed with washing-up-liquid. If the paint softens and washes out of that patch, it is emulsion.

If not, at least you have learned a new tip for next time you are decorating.
