My new dark denim gap jeans stink! I've only washed them once, cold wash in non bio to fix the dye. They're so smelly they're unwearable though. What can I do?

Is it a mouldy smell, as if they've not dried properly? You could try washing them on a hotter wash (50 degrees at least) to kill any spores then making sure they dry quickly and thoroughly.

They just need washed a few times. I had jeans like this but it faded after 5-6 washes.

Is it like a burny/rubbery smell? I think that is to do with the dyeing process.

It seems to only happen with dark dye jeans. I have had loads like this.

It should settle after a few washes.

Dd has a dress from next which is soft light blue denim

It stinks of chlorine! Been washed 3 times and it still stinks

Hang them on the line and leave them there for about a week. Inside out so they don't fade.

Ok maybe not a week but a few days.

Did they smell before you washed them?

Last two pairs of black jeans I've bought have smelt like burning, thought I was going mad! It does go fairly quickly though.
