I need a steam mop or some kind of steam cleaning device. I have no idea where to start!

If you own one which one is it? Do you recommend it?

Marking space. I have the same question.

My mum has a Polti steamer and its brilliant, I borrow it all the time! lots of different attachments, and the customer service is brilliant( i may have dropped the steamer from a bit of a height once :/ )

Big thread I think in good housekeeping. Everybody seems to love the Morphy Richards 9 in 1. I'm tempted

MuscatBouschet · 25/06/2014 10:47

I don't really use my shark one. Find it just as easy to use a mop and bucket. Where am I going wrong?

Morphy Richards 720020 9-in-1 Upright & Handheld Steam Mop 1500 Watt. £54.99 on Amazon.

I luffs mine, it has turned me in to a Domestic Goddess. Vicarinatutu's fault I think.

MsVanRein · 25/06/2014 11:04

Ah thanks will have a look catinbootz.

Pinkle this is what I want I need to be a domestic goddess - mop and bucket doesn't cut it for me it takes forever! Also I have a tiled floor that never ever looks clean even when mopped 3/4 times a day!!!!

Lollipop that's good to know re customer service I am slightly accident prone also!

Holme White Detergent Steam Mop is on the Watch list of good ones - I think it's supposed to be the same as the Abode one

mimmymouse · 27/06/2014 11:49

My VAX Steam mop is utterly marvellous. Heats up in a few seconds and cleans my house beautifully. I think it is also a bargain.

As my DC are the most horrendously mucky buggers on the planet, the VAX has the option of detergent which, I must admit, to using a lot….

Igggi · 29/06/2014 14:10

I like my Abode one, so kind of wish it had an attachment I could take off though

BauerTime · 29/06/2014 16:10

I have a cheap holme one. Twas only 20 and cleans the floors just fine for now. Has a carpet attachment but no other fancy things. Its a bit flimsy and i don't imagine it will last forever but i wanted to see if id actually use it before i invested in a better one.

I'm now eyeing up that Morphy Richards, although i do like the idea of one that takes detergent too.
