Changed from an Aga/Rayburn to an Everhot stove?

Would love to hear from anyone who has changed from an Aga/Rayburn to an Everhot?

We've always loved our Rayburn as it does our heating, water and cooking - its really easy to cook with. We're moving house and need to totally refurb the kitchen and the heating system. The Everhot sounds great, but an Aga loving friend has told me that the cooking isn't nearly as good - apparently steel isn't as wonderful as cast iron.

Does anyone have any experience and what do you think? I've been trying to find some comparisons between the electric aga and Everhot, but haven't come up with much. My head is spinning... ;)

Many years ago I had an elderly, bad-tempered coal-fired Rayburn which I found difficult to control, and spent years with a fan oven. However, I loved the idea of something 'always on' and ended up buying an Everhot 100i about 4 years ago and love it. Have you seen www.allaboutyou.com/community/forums/thread/1477400 ? There are ex-Aga owners on that.

Thanks Honu, that's great. I will check it out. Delighted to hear that you love your Everhot. xx
