Someone put a non plastic back matress protector on dd's bed and she took her nappy off and wet. If this has happened in past I have just washed mattress with dettol and it's been ok but it stinks of urine. How can I get rid of it or is mattress doomed?

how about sprinkling liberally with bicarbonate of soda. Leave for a while and then hoover it off!

febreeze?

will have to go buy some bicarb anyway to unblock the shower cubicle so could give it a go, have put it in the sunshine to see if that makes a difference.

flip put it outside to see if that would help while i went to buy some bicarb for shower and it rained so now i have the added problem of it being damp.
