argh! new socks dyeing the laundry

Is there anything I can do about this? DH bought new socks this morning and decided to pre-wash them before wearing them (as he has sensitive skin) and put them in with a variety of sensibly non-white items from the laundry bin which included two patterned tops of mine that used to be a pattern of white-and-various-bright-colours-and-dark-bits and are now grey-and-various-dull-muted-colours.

Will anything at all remove this dye? Obviously don't want to bleach as ideally I want to have my colours back!

aren't those just bleach? the vanish one I looked at listed contents as bleaching agents so I assumed they were only for whites.

I have never seen a vanish one. I know Dr Beckmann does them and they are bleach free. I think Dylon do them too
