Magnetic putty - carpet - AAAARGH!

Can anyone help? We have magnetic putty which has been left on the carpet, some can be scraped off, but quite a bit is still sticking on. Any ideas on how to get it off?

Lakeland sticky stuff remover will get it out but test for colourfastness first. the orange or green putty WILL leave a stain on a paler carpet bitter experience.

with putty, the best thing to lift it out is usually a bit more putty. if you have some more, keep dabbing it onto the stuck putty and it should eventually stark to gel together and lift it out the carpet. ds got some on my mums brand new sitting room carpet and that's how i got it out. worth a try.
