I know there are great threads for housework routines and decluttering. I just wanted to start a short sharp all inclusive update thread so I can see what I've done - you know, to keep me going Wink

Please feel free to join in or add tips or just nose Grin

My house is a midden and I want it back. I can't justify anymore playgroups or coffee dates (avoidance issues). I need to sort it. DH tentatively asked if I could give the kitchen a 'whizz' Grin...

So in the absence of cleaning fairies I need to stage a one women revolt against limescale, dust, dirt, clutter, spider webs, outgrown toys, clothes, dishes and abolute piles and piles of laundry.

So after my v late breakfast and two coffees I am going to start with DD (2) room and her clothes - who will also be 'helping' Washer on and dish wash.

...considering using a laundry service just to help me get back on track Hmm

laundry service is great. we have a laundrette locally that picks up and drops off.
not cheap at 10£ per (large) load, but worth it.

I feel like im admitting defeat y using it and if im honest needing DH to help sort out floorobes in bedroom too, loike I cant cope or something.

But what I have realised I never left work to actually become a SAHP/housewife - I left to change careers, retrain (which I am doing) but had DD along the way!

I used t think when O worked full time how nice it would be to be at home a keep it all nice and cook etc nah, just get fed up and wanna get out all the time!

I am going to use the laundry service - its the drying thats the problem really.

Quick tip I got from mumsnet: drop a couple of denture cleaning tablets in your toilet overnight. It dissolves the limescale nicely Smile

Am struggling with laundry here... It all ends up in a massive pile on the laundry floor and sometimes I have to rewash loads because they come out smelly... Oh the shame.

Morning coughle Im stuggling now with a build up of laundry and the weekend - lets relax and go out lots and use lot of cups and clothe changes Grin

Tidied garden - gardener comming Grin - still have a bit of prie left just hope he doesnt look in kitchen window Blush

Handwashed some dishes
Put a wash on
Wiped counter surfaces
Collected a bit of rubbish - which Im now off to take to the tip.

When I get back I want to cook a couple days worth of meals from a 1kg of mince.
Iron in advance so we can get up easier.

Declutter some stuff - get bags in boot ready to drop off in am before playgroup.

Have an early night
