Help my vacuum is making a god awful noise!

My vacuum cleaner is making a high pitch noise. I think it is coming from the solid curved bit on the hose. Any ideas of what I can do to stop it?! It is Miele one

might be a bit of paper or card stuck in it. Take the fittings off and poke it with an unbent wire coat hanger. Bend the end back into a tight loop so it doesn't puncture the hose.

Poke from the machine end towards the nozzle end.
