How can I get smoke smell out of boots?

I've got a knee length pair of suede effect boots that stink of smoke.

Any idea how I can kill the smell?

Bicarbonate of soda. Its amazing stuff, so many uses - I love it.

It's a natural deodoriser, it will actually absorb the smell.

So sprinkle some in the boots, also rub some into the suede, leave for at least 24 hours and then vacuum off.

Then if possible, hang on the washing line, as this will give them extra freshness.
