Have just started weaning my ds and discovered the nightmare of banana stains on clothes! Just doesn't come off in the washing machine and usually have to chuck them in the wash again..Wondered if anyone had any tips on this? Thanks!

Try and get it off before it sets or stop it setting by sticking items in water to soak untill you can give it a scrub. I have found after a few washes the black marks fade

wipe off as much as you can when it's still wet.

Wipe it off as much as you can when it is still wet! This is the only thing I did and it works. And that banana stain became my nightmare too so I have decided to buy some bibs. Do you know that type of bibs that has a pocket at the bottom? I bought that bib for my baby and I've find it very useful! No more banana stains on my little ones cloth:)

I'm never organised enough to get it off in time. I use vanish sensitive and soak bibs/mucky clothes for an hour or so before washing, if necessary at 60. There will be other foods that stain just as badly, like homemade bolognese. Same applies. Good luck.
