Dyeing an Ikea Ransta cover

I am thinking of getting a new cover for an Ikea chair bed as the current one is black and doesn't really go with anything in the room. I was going to get a white one and dye it as they don't do a colour or pattern I like at the moment.

The only thing is, the product info on the website says do not wash, use upholstery shampoo, do not tumble dry, do not bleach, etc. It appears to be exactly the same composition as the sofa bed cover in the same range which can be washed at 60 degrees! I've zoomed the photos to check whether there is a different finish, but they appear to be identical.

What do you reckon? Risk it or not? It's cotton with polyester wadding filling - the same as the sofa cover.

Thanks - I'll take a look. I was only going to do it if I could buy a cover cheaply on eBay as £40 plus the cost of dye would be more than the chair bed cost me second hand!

I don't think they do it - had a good look on the website and trawled through the categories as there doesn't seem to be a search function. I could ask my mum to make me something if I get the fabric....
