Karndean and parque floors - steam mop?

I'm bordering on buying a multi function steam mop to liven up my cleaning!

I'm envisaging doing the bathroom, kitchen, tiled walls, windows........ As much as possible with it.

Is it ok to use a steam mop on karndean and parque wood floors?

Definitely not for karndean can't say anything about the parquet but I'd guess no for that too.

Don't know about parquet, but I use a steam mop on Karndean all the time and it hasn't damaged it.

You shouldn't use steam on karndean.. Might be ok now but it's about the only thing that'll ruin it.

Oops, I've been using it on Kardean.
We used it sporadically on our wooden floor, so I am guessing parquet would be ok unless it's getting massively wet.

Oh, why's that? I've been using a steam mop on mine for years, in fact I specifically bought it for the Karndean because I had seen so many people recommend it for it! I'm panicking slightly now!

Yes, I bought the steam mop because I thought I wasn't meant to use chemical cleaners on it.

I think it's because the syeam can lift the flooring-ie melt the adhesive!

Well, I'm very careful to keep the mop moving and not to let it sit in one spot, so I think I'm happy to keep using it, it definitely hasn't lifted around the edges or anything.

Oh bugger!

I hate normal mopping and was hoping the steam mop might see the pain!

Our floors usually have a bit of flash all in one on them now and then - none of the fancy Karndean special stuff!

That's interesting; Karndean used to give a blanket warning against using any steam mop. Seems they think some are ok after all.
