Unfortunate wee/sofa incident - please help!

My young godson came to stay last night... unfortunately his father forgot to put him in a night nappy and there is now a large wee stain on my sofa futon. Efforts to remove it with warm water and washing up liquid have not really succeeded and have resulted in an additional tide mark.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to rescue the situation? The futon mattress cover is 100% cotton and can't be removed from the mattress within, so no chance of putting it through the wash.

Just an idea but I don't really know, what about using a carpet cleaning Hoover? Vanish make one you can buy or u can hire from morrisons?

Is it white? Can you leave it where some sunshine might hit it? Very good for bleaching stains out of white clothes.

I used a carpet cleaning hoover for cleaning my sofa. You fill a tank with cleaning liquid and hot water, it sprays it on the sofa and hoovers the water back off. I used this after DS had an unfortunate incident on the sofa and it cleaned it fine. No visible signs left, but our sofa is mottled grey. You can hire them around where we are from DIY shops or dry cleaners.

Could you take it to a dry cleaner?

Thanks everyone! It's red so probably sunlight wouldn't be much use?

Carpet cleaning hoover sounds like a good plan.
