Its now covered in black fibres, how do I get this out ? Would another wash do it or is it ruined ?

Yes try washing it again with an extra rinse if possible. Do you have a tumble dryer? I find the tumble dryer is brilliant for getting things like pet hair off things. If so I'd try that. I have fleece stuff that says do not tumble dry, but frankly it's made of man made fibres so won't shrink and let's face it, you probably won't want to wear it covered in black fibres.

Golden rule of laundry: don't wash light and dark together!

Use a lint roller!

Hi thanks all will try another wash and tumble dry on a low heat, worth a go, it looks like the black fibres have knitted into the fleece so think they are too deep for the lint roller but thanks anyway.
