Cleaners - advice please

I am half way through my pregnancy and already feel with the nausea and tiredness that I am neglecting the house a little bit.
Am thinking that near the end we may get a cleaner in as I get bigger and more tired. I think the main things I would need help with are kitchen and bathrooms, I can keep on top of a bit of hoovering.

So looking for some advice please - What do you get yours to do? How often do they come? How much do they get paid?

My lovely cleaner comes for 2 hours per week, she does a thorough clean of the kitchen and bathroom. Cleans all hard floors and hoovers throughout. She makes sure all glass is clean and dusts. When she started she cleaned all doors and door framed etc and kept on top of all that. It's the best £20 I spend!

Mine does the main "living areas" so kitchen, living room, our room, DS' room and bathrooms. All rooms are vacuumed and dusted, bathrooms always look immaculate and kitchen is mopped.

I get all washing done during the week and she irons what's in the basket (only 3 of us and most of my stuff doesn't need ironing so just DP's shirts). If she notices a wash needs to go on, she put it on when she arrives and hangs it all up before she leaves.

She always puts dishwasher on and makes up beds if we haven't done it when we've rushed out of the house.

Total cost of £20. Best money I spend each month, she comes on a Friday so my weekend is not spent cleaning or nagging

If you can afford, get one!

Wow, that's great value Dippy!

Thanks ladies, I guess it all depends on the cleaner. Hope I find a good one!

I know flat she's utterly bonkers and lovely! Some things she misses but I can't complain as I know I've got a good deal. We're in a new build house too so it's not too lived in yet so I suppose an easy-ish clean for her. I love her, she's my angel in disguise. She's changed our lives, which sounds dramatic, but it's surprising how relaxed you feel when you knock something of your things to do!
