Is it ok to freeze smoothies?

Just that really, I like to keep a supply of little cartons of fruit juice in the freezer to pack with picnics. I bought 2 boxes of smoothies today to freeze but it's just occurred to me that the banana in them might go a bit funny.

What do you think?

Probably won't be a problem as they'll have something in them as a preservative or that acts as a preservative. Why not freeze one small carton overnight tonight, defrost it tomorrow and compare it with one that hasn't been frozen to see what you think?

Thanks wowfudge, I've just popped one in now.

Why didn't I think of that Blush

...or just shortcut and throw them away...

you might want to check the sugar content in commercial smoothies. They are NOT health food!
