Can I get something dry cleaned if it is machine washable?

I know this is usually asked the other way around but I have just dug a couple of summer (so high linen comtent) suits out of the drawer where they have been for at least five summers during which I've either been pregnant or on mat leave or had forgotten about. They are horribly creased so I thought I would take them to the dry cleaners for a freshen up but then checked the label and saw they were machine washable. I can't see the jackets holding their shape if I put them through the machine so don't want to risk that.
Thanks

Why don't you just take them to be be washed and ironed instead? It's likely to be cheaper than dry cleaning. Have you not washed or cleaned them in the past?
