Toothpaste on coir stair carpet

I can't get it off - the carpet is kind of golden and the toothpaste really shows. Ay ideas?

Toothpaste bleaches so you may have removed the paste and now be left with a bleach mark I'm afraid? If not lots of water will get the paste element off.

Use a toothbrush .. Or, more seriously a stiff nailbrush, with a bit of fairy washing up liquid and water.
