The never ending search for a really good pillow!

Currently in my bed are a mountain of pillows of varying types (I have so many as like to be upright whilst doing night feeds)

However, none are comfy, when I'm not up with baby I'm tossing and turning swapping pillows about.

Where can I get a really good pillow? I don't mind spending a decent amount to not have a sore neck each morning!

Dunlopillow latex pillows- expensive but last for years and really comfortable.
And they have covers that you can remove and wash.

I second the Dunlopillow latex, soooooo comfy. I managed to get a cheaper brand off ebay last year, but you have to make sure it's the Latex and NOT the memory foam. Memory foam are totally different.

does the latex not make you head hot and sweaty?

I have a super comfortable feather pillow that I bought from John Lewis. I can't recall what kind of feather filling, only that it cost around £70 - far more than I've ever spent previously. But it has lasted +2 years so far and is still holding its shape and I sleep very well on it. Supportive and soft.

Thanks everyone, blimey £50 plus on a pillow hey? This is clearly where I've been going wrong, I thought £20 was pushing the boat out.

I love my pillows, they were expensive, but on a cost per use basis I think it's very reasonable to spend £100ish.

Down are very soft so I need 2 to sleep on my side - which means spending twice as much... But they have lasted about 6 years now and in that time DH has had loads of cheap pillows.

They wash in the machine and tumble dry so you can keep them clean.

Apparently the bigger the bird and the colder the climate the fluffier the down for the pillows, which is why goose are more expensive than duck etc.

Definitely the latex ones (I had my last ones 9 years )

IKEA do great pillows, I have the Gosa Raps Side sleeper at £40 and it is brilliant.

I am currently using a wool pillow from Baavet (£32) which is also excellent and doesn't make your head sweaty at all.

I have issues with my neck and right shoulder and these pillows give me much less bother than any other. I haven't tried the Dunlopillo but have heard it's good.

Ahh a wise purchase! Honestly it will last you years so actually they are quite good value for money. We've just replaced ours after 9 years but the old ones I have washed by hand and are now on the spare bed and tbh other than being 9 years old (eek!) there really isn't anything wrong with them.

I bought a Tempur contoured pillow about 8 years ago. It still looks brand new and I love it! It has a cotton case over it so you can wash it. They are 100 quid but worth it!

We have been using and buying latex Dunllopillows for years, they are GREAT. You can't wear them out and when you make your bed they fill the cases out perfectly year in year out. They outlive all the others we have bought for spare rooms, always have been disappointed with foam. Seems a lot to pay but when you count the years they are cheap.

Dunlopillows for me too, my only complaint is that they're so heavy that they're hard to take with you when you travel (although if we have space I bring it anyway)
