cost for electrician to put in light

anyone know roughly how much to extend a wire and put in a bathroom light, before my dp electrocutes himself!

Don't know about lights but it was £40 for a new socket. Similar job -extend wiring and put in socket plus plastering.
BTW it is now illegal to put in bathroom lights yourself (or himself). If he did he would need to get a certificate from a sparkie afterwards to say it was safe, which would probably cost as much as the job in the first place.I think the new leg. came in in January.

We had a couple of new light fittings and a new "rose thingy" put in for about £80.
Also,if he did do it himself and something happened,it makes your house insurance void.

I have found the most wonderful Electrician in Haringey. He is delightful, reliable and very reasonable at £30 for the first hour and £20/hour after that. I have used him a few times and never paid more than £50 for a job well done.
