Black stains on bathroom lino

I pulled out the bathroom furniture today to clean everything properly, and found black stains on the floor, from water that spills out when DS has his bath. I was going to rearrange things, but I can't with the floor like this!

Washing has done nothing, leaving bleach to sit on it overnight has done nothing. Is there any product or method that would shift it?

it might be black mildew staining limescale, and the limescale is stuck to the floor.

Try a bathroom cleaning spray with bleach, leave it to soak in. The bleach will kill the mildew. You can use a kettle or tap descaler but it might clean the pattern off the vinyl flooring (it will not be linoleum). If you have nothing else, try vinegar, but you can buy packs of Citric Acid cheaply in Wilkinsons, or chemists, or places that sell homebrew or wine kits.

Thank you! And yes you're right it is vinyl flooring. I'll try one thing after another. I'm a tenant and if I can't get the marks off I will have to replace the flooring myself, and try to find the same pattern!

I saw this on Tesco's website www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=281815758 I'll add that to the end of the list. And I have plenty of white vinegar thanks to MN so I may try that first!
