Floor laid professionally 10 years ago in downstairs shower room/loo. Sticky dark brown (glue?) substance leaking up through joins in floor tiles in very small amounts. No smell to it, so hopefully no toilet nastiness. It's slightly stickycould it be the adhesive breaking downmaybe due to humidity? Very odd. Don't want to ignore it. Any ideas welcome...

It will be the adhesive, probably due to slight damp/condensation. It happened in our old bathroom about 10 years after it was laid. The only solution seems to be cleaning it off in the short term, replacing in the longer term.

Thanks. DH pulled up a tile and floor is soaked. Traced to leak of clean cistern water from loo...plumber on his way. Big sigh.

Hope it's not too expensive for you.

This happened to us last week (the clean leak) and I can recommend a dehumidifier to dry the floor out if you have one or can borrow one.
