Dishwashed glasses ? Old wives cleaner tips ?

We live in a hard water area and irrespective of what cleaner we use in the dishwasher glasses end up cloudy/misty. Anyoneknow any good old fashioned tips that we could try so we can get them pristine again. ....

Assuming that you are using salt in the dishwasher's water softener, as yiu should, and rinse aid, then it is probably erosion and dulling of the soft glass, which does happen, due to high temperatures and strong cleaners, and is sadly irreversible.

You could try wiping one in vinegar just in case it is hard water deposits.

If there is any limescale inside your dishwasher, it indicates the softener is not working, or is adjusted too low (check the instructions).
