I need an extra bedroom and really don't want to have to move as I've spent loads getting my (council) house looking fab! Cheap rent, free repairs, not bad area etc etc, job not really stable so don't want to buy either !!
Has anyone done this to their own home (council or private) and if so, any tips, cost, how much hassle etc etc.
If you did do it in your council house, did you get planning permission first as I would need to put in a window and don't think I could hide that one from them !!
