I did an empty hot wash.. And my machine smells worse?!

I did an empty hot wash onmy washing machine and it smells horrific.... What did I do?!?!?!

you can put crystals in the soap drawer, or put them in the tub. You can do the same with soap powder.

It is useful to take out the drawer, and scrub it in hot water to remove any soap sludge, also the drawer aperture, especially the upper surface.

"Hot" means a hot white cotton wash. Depending on your machine it might be about 80C or about 90C.
