Steam Mop pros and cons

We are looking at having to put in a new bathroom and one of the people who have quoted have suggested vinyl flooring and using a steam mop to clean it (we've currently got old carpet, so I can see the point in changing!).

However, having read a number of threads I'm confused about whether to get one, and if we did, which one as there seem to be so many different ones out there.

Please could you wise people give me the pros and cons of having a steam mop?

We also have vinyl in the kitchen / futility room so it would get used there too.

Thanks

It will revolutionise your concept of clean :)

Thanks gobbin.

Can anyone recommend one which is good for someone who is short and has a bad back.

Also, is it necessary to have distilled water etc for the steam bit?

Thanks

If you don't mind the daily mail, they did a thing about them last week with ratings for the best one to buy. I don't do links but if you google daily mail and steam cleaners I am sure it will come up.

Thane something or other came up best. I bought a Lakeland one but don't rate it at all so I am thinking of the thane one.
