Coffee drips on a dark brown leather sofs

DS2 upended my mug so that the cold dregs dripped out over the seat cushion of our dark brown leather sofa. I didn't realise he had done it, and later on wiped the small drips off. The coffee has lightened the sofa in two lighter brown small circle drip spots.

Any ideas as to what I could do to restore the colour please? Its in a very obvious place and the sofas are only 2 years old.

When something similar happened to us, I found a quick go with a leather shampoo got rid of the marks - they hadn't really lightened the colour even though it seemed that way. We got a kit of stuff with the sofa when we bought it, but I suspect it may just be ordinary detergent!

I've been meaning to buy leather shampoo since we got the sofas. Now I must actually do it! Thanks.
