Candy washing machine spin moan

I've got Candy machine model GOF 842. It's an 8kg one / 1400 spin one.
Anyone else got this one and can help me with some niggles using it please? Why can't I default it to spin on 1400 when using shorter cycles or when giving an extra rinse? It seems stuck at 800. Is that right?

I used a friends model, the slow spin is on the short cycles because they are short and it would take a while to gather speed to spin at 1400, or, so I think lol, the rinsing on hers was the same as well and I think its because its supposed to be for handwashed things?
