Anyone got a hoover head?

Mumsnet, work your magic! :)

I have a cylinder bagless hoover, was having a stubborn moment and attempting to hoover the stairs myself (i have mobility issues) and dropped it down the stairs.

The hoover itself luckily survived, but the head snapped off and is unfixable. All similar types of same brand seem to have the same head, does anyone have one spare that they dont need?

Happy to pay postage for it btw

You need to measure the diameter of the tube that attaches so it, also does the tube go into the head, or the head into the tube. They vary a bit by brand. I have an idea that 37mm is quite common.

If no luck, put the brand name into ebay.

What make is it?

Sorry when I said hoover, I meant Hoover. Its a Hoover hoover Grin

Its a "spirit" which appears to be discontinued according to the hoover site itself. Didnt realise it was that old! Tube is 30mm and goes into head (which is about 32mm)

it looks like 30mm tubes are not uncommon, and it says here for Hoover tubes, so you may find one, though (if nothing free) they are cheaper on ebay or some street markets.

You could also ask on freegle or freecycle. Last time I gave away a vac I had quite a lot of spares and accessories. There might be someone whose vac has broken who would give the extras away.

Ah brilliant, if its not a brand/model specific thing then, I'll ask around locally. Thanks for the help! :)

Thought I had an old Dyson brush in the shed but DH had binned it. Wouldn't have been any use to you anyway. Good luck with the search!
